MEET OUR TEAM
Fox Family Foundation and Fellows from RespectAbility's National Apprenticeship program are responsible for the event management, publicity and programming of the Vision Fair.

RespectAbility's Apprenticeship program for Blind and Low-Vision leaders is fully accessible for people with disabilities and offers full-time in-house job coaching, skills development, networking opportunities and assistive technology. (Learn more here)
Vision Fair Producer
Akira Nakano
Drawing from years of experience running events for other non-profits and large corporate events, Akira Nakano is the lead Producer of the Vision Fair event with his role at Fox Family Foundation.
​
Nakano also serves as President, CEO and Artistic Director for the Los Angeles Inception Orchestra which he founded n 2017.
​
Akira is proud to be leading this event with the Fox Fellows from RespectAbility, a nonprofit organization which advocates for disability rights.
Vision Fair Co-Producer/Fox Fellow
Rostom Dadian
Rostom Dadian has been involved in local politics and plans to continue to participate in the future. He wants to give a voice to the disabled community and teach other marginalized and stigmatized communities to advocate for what they need. His short-term goal is a position in local office such as Councilman.
Dadian’s background in finance and interest in politics have shown him how difficult it is for people to navigate the current incomprehensible systems, such as the tax code, social security or the justice system. He wants to work toward the simplification of broken and slow financial and political systems.
Media Lead/Fox Fellow
Corey Evans
Corey Evans is an Entertainment and News Media Apprentice in RespectAbility’s National Leadership Program. With an MFA in Film Production from the University of Miami, Evans worked for KATV in Little Rock (ABC Affiliate) and WSVN in Miami (FOX Affiliate) as a news editor. In 2005, he moved to Los Angeles and worked at an industry leading production company, HSI Productions. While at HSI Productions, he worked on numerous commercials and music videos as a production coordinator. He also has a strong background in post-production, working as a vault manager.

Alex Hike
Alex Hike earned an Associates’ degree in Liberal Arts at Ohlone Community College, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Government at California State University, Sacramento. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Hilke has spent the last 15 years campaigning for different candidates and causes throughout California. In 2012, he was the on the executive board of the California Democratic Party Disability Caucus, earning a PLEO Delegate spot at the 2012 DNC, where he was state delegation whip. In 2018, Hilke was the Data Manager for the California Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign. In January of 2022, Hilke was appointed to the Montebello, California Traffic and Safety Committee where he will improve street and sidewalk conditions for people with disabilities.

Elizabeth Pezone
In 2016, after difficulty finding any employment in early education, Elizabeth Perone transferred to California State University Los Angeles and recently graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services.
Pezone has worked as an intern for the Charter College of Education, California State University Los Angeles. She worked under a recruitment advisor specialist and had the opportunity to observe her supervisor student’s sessions including acting as lead counselor virtually to students.
BVI Exhibition Producer/Fox Fellow
Roy Payan
Payan graduated from Cal State Los Angeles with a double major in Rehabilitation Services in which he learned the characteristics, mannerisms and traits of a wide spectrum of disabilities. He is currently working on his Masters in Public Policy for Nonprofits at the University of Southern California (USC), where he hopes to eventually earn his doctorate.
Payan has direct experience with public policy and the law. After losing his vision overseas, he returned to college as an adult. In 2016, he requested the community college he was attending to begin making all their learning platforms, websites, portals and library databases accessible for all students with disabilities. When they refused, Payan launched a federal lawsuit to force them to comply.

Dennis Tran
Dennis Tran is a diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) advocate and storyteller with a ranged skillset in emerging new media, communication, technology, and innovation for social change.
A graduate from the University of California, Irvine with a Public Health Policy degree, Tran’s diverse background spans a variety of sectors, including digital media, entertainment, technology, and philanthropy.

I love bringing an extra special touch to curate each individual event and make sure that your company's mission, style, and energy is reflected, regardless of budget. I focus on anticipating my client's needs, before they even know they need them. It's all in the details.
